PRIVATE HOUSE
Private house in Gondifelos, Vila Nova de Famalicão. The study started January 2004, with planning permission in June 2004. On-site work started in August 2004 and was completed April 2005. Project built by Engiaço, Construções Técnicas Lda. The plot has an area of 9000 sqm, the main part of which located in a green protection area. A construction with a 190sqm footprint was authorised.
Taking in the context and surrounding landscape, our objective was to enhance the views to the south, where a maximum number of interesting points are located. The building consists essentially on the positioning of a number of walls that determine the spatial and visual delimitation of the intervention and equally the functional boundaries of the interior of the building.
The space between the building main blocks (public and private) configure a visual corridor that allows a clear perception of the landscape, framed between the main walls that separate the two functional areas. On the east we have the private areas and on the west the public spaces. The existing morphology of the land was kept.
